02Character & Disposition

Fire types burn with a clear, intense purpose. Galen describes them as "sharp, easily angered, bold, and fierce." They are the most driven of all temperaments, moving toward obstacles with a desire to transform or overcome them through sheer force of will. Unlike the flowing Water or adaptable Air, Fire is direct and uncompromising. It seeks to consume and transform its environment. Those with a Fire temperament are often competitive, highly strategic, and deeply sensitive to matters of honor and status.

03Strengths & Shadow

Strengths

  • Courage — A natural readiness to face challenge and danger.
  • Strategic Thinking — The ability to see the most direct path to victory.
  • Intensity — A high-octane drive that inspires others to follow.
  • Decisiveness — Quick judgment and the will to act without hesitation.

Shadow Side

  • Anger — A low threshold for frustration and a quickness to wrath.
  • Impatience — Difficulty with slow processes or those who cannot keep up.
  • Burnout — The tendency to "burn the candle at both ends" until the fuel is gone.
  • Aggression — A risk of becoming domineering or abrasive when challenged.

04The Way of Fire

For the Fire temperament, life is a series of conquests. Whether in the boardroom, the gym, or the field of battle, they are motivated by the pursuit of excellence and the recognition of their power. To remain balanced, Fire requires the cooling influence of reflection and the grounding moisture of deep connection.

"The Fire type is "light in body, quick in movement, sharp in intellect, but prone to wrath and recklessness.""
— Avicenna
